How it works
Hours per day = (end - start) - break. A shift that ends after midnight is counted to the next day's end time. Total hours = the sum of the seven days. Gross is total hours x pay rate, before overtime: use the overtime calculator when the week is over 40 hours.
Signatures are drawn on a canvas in your browser and placed on the printed copy as images. If you change the hours after signing, both signatures are cleared, because a signature should only cover what the signer saw.
A drawn signature on a printout is a simple record. For audit-ready e-signatures, a system should also keep who signed, when, from which device, and a fingerprint of the exact data signed, and clear the signatures if anything changes. Ovel EVV does that for every timesheet. Read Moving from paper timesheets to signed digital timesheets.
